Google has started rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow why some manufacturers are still battling with updating their devices to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But even at this, Google has started to roll out Android 6.0.1 M to some few Android devices for Beta version for now.
Since the inception of Android Marshmallow, this is obviously the first update that will be coming up. According to XDA developer’s forum, few Android have started receiving the latest Android 6.0.1 M update and they are: Android One, General Mobile 4G, Cherry Mobile One.
This issue of Android 6.0.1 coming to these devices has not be confirmed by Google. Also, as recorded by GSMarena, the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update packs Google’s December security patch for all Android device with build number MMB29K.
The Google Nexus 5X that was preloaded with Android 6.0 M has not got the Android 6.0.1 update yet. Also, alongside with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, don’t forget that Google is planning to bring into all Android device monthly security patch.
The reason why Android one is the first to get Android 6.0.1 update is what we are not sure off but with the look of things, Google may roll out more update before the end of 2015.
Rumour around the web reveals that short after the launch of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, Google will move on to release the major update which is Android 6.0 and is likely to come in the Q1 2016.
