Android Lollipop begin to roll out for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Note edge. Since Galaxy Note 4 and Note edge has been confirmed that they will not get the latest Android Marshmallow update, AT&T has begun to roll out Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update to the said devices i.e, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note edge. The new release OS update is a little bit hefty as it weighs 693.32MB and it thus come exactly 6 weeks after it was first announced on Note 4.

The exact date for user to start updating their device OS to this current update has not been officially announced but with the news trending concerning the update, the new Lollipop 5.1.1 will bring about better performance, and multitasking features with using the camera app.


There is no proof to show that the new update will fix the issue of worrying stagefright vulnerability but internationally, this update does not fix that.

As at this time, Samsung users who owns any of this device can only update their device over the air for now and it is not yet available for download on Samsung KIES but with time, it will surely be made available.

By default, the Lollipop 5.1.1 update should pop in your update notification and if you have not gotten the update notification, you can eadeavour to do a manual check of your device update.
